DDD

Sometime during the production of hollow ataraxia, Kinoko started writing a new set of stories about demons. Not oni (like the Tohno), but demons. The original plan was to have DDD be directly related to hollow ataraxia, but that didn't quite work out.

Anyway, it's pretty clear that DDD shares the same sort of concepts and ideas that give Kinoko works their unique flavor, progress and deterioration, subjective reality vs. objective reality, extremely talkative know-it-all characters, ambivalent and broken protagonists, that sort of good stuff.

Set to be a 6 part series (like the way how how Rakkyo is composed of 7 episodes). Junk the Eater isn't included among the 6 since it's treated more or less as a side story.

Two-sentence summary

A two-parter starting sometime before J the E. There's a little trick to this that ought to be familiar to long-time players or people that have gone through a certain part of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.

久織伸也
The "protagonist". Caught for A-Disorder after killing his parents and knocking his sister off the building. Released after the incident was deemed to be an accident and rehabilitation was complete. Meets and befriends both Arika and his sister before leaving.

Arika's little sister

A psychopath locked away behind layers of iron gates. An extremely severe case of A-Disorder. A 14 year old that looks 20, by the time of HandS. Huge breasts. Huge.

Dr. "Roman"
Real name, Kinui. Called roman because he's a romantic.
